Since education shapes an individual’s personality, the Gurukul works to develop its teachers as well as its students. To do this, the school focuses on five major points.

1. Physical development = good health
2. Psychological Development= a sound, balanced mind.
3. Intellectual Development= rational thinking and creativity.
4. Social Development= sense of responsibility and maintaining relations.
5. Spiritual Development= a happy, comprehensive life.

The Gurukul believes in the fundamental completeness of a person. What is required is the correct platform and opportunities. To provide this, the instructors undertake tireless efforts and experiments. Thus, the Gurukul is known as ‘the land of experiments for education’.

Student development:

The developmental plan of the Gurukul has been designed to make each student an ideal citizen. It has been proven through a number of experiments that children learn by imitating their elders. Therefore in the Gurukul creates a favourable environment cooperative living of students and teachers. This familial atmosphere is conducive for the development of students through informal communication and observation. These observations about students are documented regularly which are very helpful to study their Behavioural Change.

Teachers Development:

Planning and Reviewing:Special hearings are organised twice a year. During these, assessment of previous six months and planning for the next six months is done. The planning and management of the Gurukul is carried out on the SMART (Specific Measureable Attainable Realistic Timely) principle. Regular meetings: Like the annual plans, regular meetings are also organised every week. Various in-service training workshop organised by the Gurukul or any other organisation or government.

Gurukul also organizes visits to various projects dedicated to social cause twice every year. This helps in improvement of the teachers and for their capacity building. Activities such as reading, writing, project based learning, presentations on specified topics, group discussions etc. are encouraged.
